Overview

The MRLC 200 was developed in-house by Multihog R&D exclusively for the MX tractor. It uses a soda, water, and air blast followed by a water rinse to clean in-pavement runway lights without damaging LEDs or aluminium housings.

Key Features

Approximately 30-second cleaning cycle per light, with each fixture cleaned in a single pass

60 L soda tank plus 200 L water tank, one fill cleans thousands of lights per shift

Low-pressure 2–3 bar cleaning blast ensures no damage to LED lights

Non-corrosive soda compound safe for aluminium and steel light fixtures

Joystick-controlled from within the cabin so the operator stays warm and dry

Operates in any season and even in adverse weather conditions

LED work lights on the front of the Multihog for excellent night-time visibility

Optional rear-mounted camera and integrated design reduce health and safety risk on active airfields

Who This Is For

Airports, air force bases, and airfield maintenance contractors responsible for keeping in-pavement runway, taxiway, and approach lights at required photometric output. Fleets already running the Multihog MX tractor gain an immediate specialised use-case.

Ideal Applications

Commercial airport runway and taxiway light cleaning

Military airfield light maintenance

General aviation field lighting upkeep

Low-visibility weather periods where light intensity is critical

Night-shift airfield operations using the front LED work lights

What Sets It Apart

Developed exclusively for the Multihog MX to tackle a job most street-cleaning attachments cannot, cleaning thousands of recessed airfield lights on a single 60/200 L fill, without damaging LEDs or their housings. The soda-water-air blast runs at only 2–3 bar, cleans each fixture in roughly 30 seconds, and improves light intensity to keep aircraft moving in low-visibility weather. Because cleaning is joystick-controlled from a heated cabin with optional rear camera, operators stay safe on active airfield surfaces in any season.

Common Upgrade Path

Replaces manual scrub crews and dedicated specialist runway-light washing trucks for airports that want to fold light cleaning into the same Multihog they already use for sweeping and snow clearance.

When to Consider a Different Model

For general pavement or perimeter-road washing rather than recessed light fixtures, specify the Multihog High Pressure Washer instead.
