Overview

Two rotary mower platforms for Multihog tractors: the gear-driven MMM 8400 winged rotary for parklands and airfields, and the front-mounted hydraulically driven MRM TH2500 winged rotary for the CX range. Both give the operator a 100% clear, obstruction-free view during mowing.

Key Features

MMM 8400 working widths from 1.9–4.1 m (6'3"–13'5") with overall widths from 2–4.2 m (6'6"–14')

MMM 8400 cutting height adjustable 10–150 mm (0.4–6 in) and mowing rates of 5.3–11.5 acres per hour at 7 mph

Gear-driven MMM 8400 with internal roller bearings sealed against moisture and soil, plus 6-ply castor wheel tyres

MRM TH2500 front-mounted with 2.5 m (8 ft) working width and 1.75 m (5.7 ft) transport width

MRM TH2500 cutting height adjustable 20–80 mm (0.8–3.1 in) with six heavy-duty castor wheels

Hydraulically lifting wings on the MRM TH2500 with auto-stop when lifted past 30°, plus hydraulic tilt-up for maintenance

Available in rigid and winged versions (MMM 8400); both models operated via joystick from inside the Multihog cabin

Who This Is For

Parks departments, airfield operators, military bases, and racecourse grounds crews that need to cover large open turf acreages quickly. The front-mounted MRM TH2500 suits CX operators who want a clear forward view and fast transport between sites, while the MMM 8400 suits high-output open mowing.

Ideal Applications

Parklands, public green spaces, and estate lawns

Airfield turf and military base grounds

Racecourse infields and large amenity fields

Municipal sports grounds and school fields

Highway medians and wide roadside reserves

What Sets It Apart

The MMM 8400 delivers 5.3–11.5 acres per hour at 7 mph with a 10–150 mm cutting-height range, spanning short amenity turf to rough meadow in a single machine. Gear drive with sealed internal roller bearings resists moisture and soil ingress where belt-driven rivals wear out, and 6-ply castor tyres absorb impacts from hidden debris. The front-mounted MRM TH2500 adds hydraulic wing lift with auto-stop past 30° and hydraulic tilt-up for blade maintenance, features typically reserved for larger tractors.

Common Upgrade Path

Replaces dedicated batwing rotary mowers or multiple smaller zero-turns on large open acreages, consolidating high-output mowing onto a Multihog chassis already used for other seasonal work.

When to Consider a Different Model

Not ideal for tight, obstacle-dense verges where reach and side shift matter. For close work around signs and barriers, finish behind the Multihog Flail Mower with a manual trim pass.
