Who This Is For

Municipal road crews, highway contractors, and facilities teams that need a heavy-duty mulcher for tall grass, weeds, and light brush along verges and embankments. Best suited to operators who already run a Multihog CX and want a rear-mounted flail that can side-shift around guardrails and posts without moving the tractor.

Ideal Applications

Roadside verge mowing and seasonal right-of-way clearance

Embankment and drainage-ditch mulching

Rough-grass maintenance on industrial estates and rural roads

Mulching light brush and regrowth on unpaved access tracks

Amenity field cutdowns where grass has been allowed to grow long

What Sets It Apart

The reinforced M hammer flails are made from special steel to survive the mix of grass, woody regrowth, and hidden debris typical of roadside verges, while the patented shark-fin close-cutting system delivers a finish cleaner than most rough-duty flails. Up to 56 cm of mechanical side shift lets the operator dodge posts and barriers without repositioning the tractor. The support roller and adjustable ground clearance dial the cut in precisely, and V-belt protection with a control opening keeps maintenance quick.

Common Upgrade Path

Displaces a separate tractor-plus-flail combination or contract mowing services for routine verge and embankment work, consolidating rough-cut mulching onto the same Multihog that handles year-round duties.

When to Consider a Different Model

Not for fine sports-turf or parkland finish work; step up to the Multihog Cylinder Mower MCM 3/5/7 or Front Mower with Collection when presentation-grade cut quality is the priority.
