Energreen America
Reach vegetation your crew can't get to safely

Your Authorized Energreen Dealer
Brown Equipment Company is an authorized dealer for the full line of Energreen professional vegetation management equipment. Robo Series radio-controlled machines handle slopes up to 61° with your operator on safe, flat ground. ILF Series self-propelled boom mowers reach up to 49 feet from a ROPS-FOPS-certified cab. Plus 18+ attachments that turn either platform into a year-round multi-tool.
Reach vegetation your crew can't get to safely
Energreen America builds self-propelled boom mowers and slope mowers for the roadside, embankment, ditch, and guard-rail vegetation work that traditionally took a tractor-and-boom-mower combination plus a manual crew on foot. The platform replaces both with a single self-propelled chassis: 220 HP at the top of the lineup, telescopic boom reach up to 24 feet horizontal and 28 feet vertical, FOPS/ROPS-certified cab so the operator stays protected on the steep ground these jobs run on.
The lineup is organized into two families. The ILF self-propelled boom mowers (Alpha, Alpha Eagle, Alphetta, Aspen, Athena) cover highway brush-cutting from a road-legal chassis, with bidirectional travel so the operator never has to turn the machine around, 360-degree rotating cab on the flagship, and stability control electronics that monitor load in real time. The Robo radio-controlled slope mowers (ECO, Compact, Evo, Midi, Max) handle the embankments and slopes too steep for a wheeled operator, with treaded tracks, low ground pressure, and remote operation from the safety of the shoulder.
A broad attachment catalog mounts on the boom arm: mulching heads, flail mowing heads, circular saw blades, hedge trimmers, forestry heads, saw bars, cutter bars, iron brushes, stump grinders, blowers, and specialty heads for ditch cleaning, branch cutting, and grass grappling. Brown Equipment Company is the authorized Energreen America dealer for the Midwest. We sell, demo, and service the full lineup. Demo units come to your highway sections with the attachments you're evaluating already mounted.

R1500
Self-propelled hi-rail boom mower built for vegetation maintenance in railway corridors. Steel rail wheels drop for on-track work, four rubber wheels carry it down the road to the next site. A rotating ROPS/FOPS cabin lets the operator cut in either direction of travel without turning the machine around. Available with a 27 ft or 32 ft telescopic arm.
Slope Mowers

Energreen America: Common Buyer Questions
Answers to the questions municipal fleets and contractors ask most often before specifying Energreen America equipment.
- What is a self-propelled boom mower and when do I use one?
- A self-propelled boom mower is a road-legal chassis with a telescopic boom arm and a mowing or cutting head mounted on the end. The operator runs the boom from a protected cab. Use it for highway and right-of-way brush-cutting, guard-rail and shoulder vegetation, ditch and embankment maintenance, and any roadside work where the alternative is a tractor-and-boom-mower combination plus a follow-up crew on foot. The self-propelled platform replaces both with one chassis and one operator.
- What is the difference between an ILF boom mower and a Robo slope mower?
- ILF (Alpha, Athena, Aspen, etc.) is a wheeled, self-propelled, road-legal chassis with an operator in a protected cab. Used for highway and arterial right-of-way work. Robo (ECO, Compact, Evo, Midi, Max) is a tracked, radio-controlled slope mower with no operator on the machine. Used for embankments and slopes too steep for a wheeled mower, where the operator stays on the safer ground at the shoulder and runs the machine remotely. Most departments doing both highway brush-cutting and steep-slope work end up with one of each.
- What working heights and reaches are available?
- The ILF Athena flagship reaches 15 meters (about 49 feet) on its telescopic boom for guard-rail and overhead canopy work. Compact models in the lineup reach 7-8 meters for narrower corridors. Specific reach, side-shift, and tilt geometry vary by model. BEC can scope the right model to the route profile and the heaviest reach you typically need.
- What attachments are available?
- Mulching heads, flail mowing heads, circular saw blades, hedge trimmers, forestry heads, saw bars, cutter bars, iron brushes, stump grinders, blowers, branch cutter bars, ditch cleaning buckets, forestry tree shears, grass grab grapples, mulcher conveyor belts, sheet ditch cleaners, trunk pincers, and weeding mowing buckets. The catalog is broad because Energreen treats the boom as a platform and the attachment as the working tool, swappable based on the job.
- What is the Stability Control Device?
- A real-time load-monitoring system that watches the boom position, the chassis tilt, and the working load, and intervenes (alerts or stops) before the chassis reaches a tip-over condition. Practical impact: an operator working on a 40-degree embankment with a heavy mulching head doesn't have to mentally track stability margins on top of running the boom. The system does it. Reduces operator fatigue and prevents the catastrophic-but-preventable rollovers that occasionally happen on this category of equipment.
- What service and parts support does BEC offer for Energreen?
- Authorized Energreen America dealer with factory-trained service across our seven Midwest locations. Wear parts (mulching head teeth, flail blades, hydraulic seals, attachment couplers) stock at our service centers. Demo units available at your highway sections with the attachment configuration you'd actually run.
