Overview

135 HP multifunction self-propelled with a front quick-coupler in addition to the boom. Same chassis runs roadside mowing in summer, snow attachments in winter, and construction or utility work in between.

Who This Is For

Public works fleets that need a single chassis to earn its keep across all four seasons. The front quick-coupler and the boom arm let the Kommunal switch from a mowing route to a snow route to a construction job site without rotating equipment in and out of the yard.

Ideal Applications

Year-round roadside and green maintenance

Snow plowing and salt spreading on municipal routes

Construction site work with front-mounted attachments

Hedge trimming and tree work with the boom

Ditch maintenance and minor earthworks

What Sets It Apart

The front single-plate quick-coupler is the differentiator. Most boom mowers are one-trick machines; the Kommunal accepts plows, brooms, salt spreaders, and other municipal attachments on the front while the boom arm sits idle. ORBITAL 8 arm option adds 290 degree hydraulic rotation for tight working envelopes. Bidirectional drive lets the operator run snow or sweeping work the direction the chassis is sized for, then turn around for boom work, no repositioning.

Common Upgrade Path

Departments running a separate boom mower, snow plow chassis, and small construction tractor that each sit idle most of the year, or operations forced to rent winter and summer equipment because no single fleet asset covers both.

When to Consider a Different Model

If you do not need the front quick-coupler for snow or construction work, the Aspen offers the same boom capability with less complexity and lower cost. For long highway routes, the Athena's 15 m reach is the right tool.
