DOT contractors, major metros with aggressive fleet-electrification goals, and operations running both city and highway routes that need a zero-emission sweeper capable of 55 mph between jobsites. The M4EV is the only Class 7 plug-in electric sweeper in the USA, this is the platform DSNY in New York City purchased when they needed a heavy-duty electric sweeper.
Highway and arterial sweeping under state fleet electrification mandates
Major metro central business districts with air-quality or noise restrictions
DOT sweeping programs transitioning to zero-emission equipment
Combined city-and-highway sweeping requiring 55 mph transport
Port, airport, and industrial facility sweeping with emission limits
Parking structure and enclosed-facility sweeping where exhaust is a liability
Class 7 certification is the gap nobody else fills in the electric-sweeper market, lighter-duty EVs exist, but DOT-grade operations couldn't buy a real Class 7 electric until Global built this one. NYC DSNY chose it, which is about as rigorous a validation as you can get. The 250 kWh battery plus Level III DC Fast Charging keeps the truck on the street instead of tethered to the charger, and eliminating DPF/DEF/transmissions removes three of the biggest service-interval cost centers on conventional sweepers. At 55 mph you're not the slow vehicle holding up highway traffic.
DOT and major metro fleets operating diesel Class 7 sweepers under increasingly strict emissions regulations, or operations trying to stretch light-duty EV sweepers into routes they weren't designed for and breaking them in months.
If your routes are tight residential cul-de-sacs where 18.5 feet of turning radius is too much, the M3EV three-wheel platform delivers the same zero-emission performance with a 12.5-foot turning radius. For fleets not yet ready to commit to charging infrastructure, the M4 Hybrid provides 50%+ fuel savings with standard diesel fueling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the M4EV best suited for?
DOT contractors, major metros with aggressive fleet-electrification goals, and operations running both city and highway routes that need a zero-emission sweeper capable of 55 mph between jobsites. The M4EV is the only Class 7 plug-in electric sweeper in the USA, this is the platform DSNY in New York City purchased when they needed a heavy-duty electric sweeper.
What are the main applications for the M4EV?
The M4EV is ideal for: Highway and arterial sweeping under state fleet electrification mandates; Major metro central business districts with air-quality or noise restrictions; DOT sweeping programs transitioning to zero-emission equipment; Combined city-and-highway sweeping requiring 55 mph transport; Port, airport, and industrial facility sweeping with emission limits; Parking structure and enclosed-facility sweeping where exhaust is a liability.
What sets the M4EV apart from other mechanical street sweepers?
When should I consider a different model instead of the M4EV?
If your routes are tight residential cul-de-sacs where 18.5 feet of turning radius is too much, the M3EV three-wheel platform delivers the same zero-emission performance with a 12.5-foot turning radius. For fleets not yet ready to commit to charging infrastructure, the M4 Hybrid provides 50%+ fuel savings with standard diesel fueling.
What is the typical upgrade path from the M4EV?
DOT and major metro fleets operating diesel Class 7 sweepers under increasingly strict emissions regulations, or operations trying to stretch light-duty EV sweepers into routes they weren't designed for and breaking them in months.
