Brown Equipment Company is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager (Service Center Director) to provide leadership for our Indianapolis and Lexington Service Centers. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone with a proven track record of developing people, improving processes, driving financial performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The Regional Operations Manager will oversee Parts and Service operations at both locations while collaborating with leaders at every level of the organization—including executive leadership, divisional leaders, and Sales—to support continued growth, operational excellence, and exemplary customer service.

Location and Travel Requirements

This position is based in Indianapolis, Indiana, and requires a daily on-site presence. The Regional Operations Manager will divide their time approximately 50/50 between the Indianapolis and Lexington Service Centers, making residence in the Indianapolis area essential.

This is not a remote or hybrid position. Regular travel between Indianapolis and Lexington is required.

What You’ll Do

As our Regional Operations Manager, you will:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Parts and Service teams at both locations
  • Oversee daily operations while promoting safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service center performance
  • Monitor operational results, budgets, P&L statements, and key performance indicators
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, control costs, and increase efficiency
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement
  • Coach and develop employees while supporting strong team performance and engagement
  • Partner with Sales leadership, Division Managers, and Equipment Consultants to align service capabilities with customer needs
  • Address operational and service-related customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety and regulatory requirements
  • The position is responsible for operational performance, financial results, customer satisfaction, and leadership of the Parts and Service functions.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a proven leader who brings:

  • Four or more years of experience in operations management, service center leadership, branch management, or a similar role
  • Experience leading multiple departments or locations
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience reviewing P&L statements, budgets, and operational reports
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead employees
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership
  • A customer-focused mindset and commitment to operational excellence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience within heavy equipment, construction equipment, commercial truck, agricultural equipment, industrial service, or another service-focused environment is also preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Must reside in the Indianapolis area
  • Must be available for a daily on-site presence
  • Must be able to travel regularly between Indianapolis and Lexington
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
