About Warthog

Clean pipes faster. Controlled rotation beats fixed jets

Warthog (StoneAge / Warthog Nozzles) builds the controlled-rotation jetting heads that dominate the high-performance sewer cleaning segment. The platform's design promise is that controlled rotation beats fixed jets on cleaning coverage: a fixed-jet nozzle sprays water in straight lines and misses portions of the pipe wall, while controlled rotation distributes the cleaning energy in a precise pattern that covers the entire pipe interior. Result: fewer passes through the line, cleaner pipe wall, less crew time per shift.

The lineup spans the WG Classic (the workhorse mainline and lateral cleaning head), WGR for root-cutting work, WX for the heaviest debris and grease, and WS for descaling and mineral buildup. Built around StoneAge's high-pressure rotational hardware, the platform handles the higher water flow and pressure that modern municipal jetters and combination trucks now deliver, without the bearing-life problems that plague lower-quality rotating nozzles. Brown Equipment Company stocks the WG and WGR for routine work and runs same-day shipping upon request on rotor and bearing wear items.

Frequently Asked

Warthog: Common Buyer Questions

Answers to the questions municipal fleets and contractors ask most often before specifying Warthog equipment.

What is controlled rotation and why does it matter?
A controlled-rotation nozzle has internal hydraulics that spin the jet head at a regulated speed (typically 100-400 RPM depending on the application), so the water jets distribute around the pipe wall in a precise pattern. A fixed-jet nozzle just sprays water in straight lines, which misses portions of the pipe wall and leaves uncleaned bands. Controlled rotation covers the entire interior in fewer passes. For most municipal mainline and lateral work, that translates to one or two passes instead of three, and faster crew throughput per shift.
What is the difference between the WG Classic and the WGR?
Both are controlled-rotation nozzles. The WG Classic is the routine workhorse, tuned for mainline and lateral maintenance cleaning. The WGR is specifically engineered for root cutting, with jet geometry that shears root material at the pipe wall without scoring the host pipe. If the line has established root presence, spec the WGR. For routine maintenance, the WG Classic is the better choice.
Does Warthog fit my existing jetter?
Drop-in compatible with most municipal jetter and combination truck water systems on standard hose connections. Specific pipe diameter, water flow, and pressure ratings need to match your truck's spec. BEC can confirm fit before you order.
What service and parts support does BEC offer for Warthog?
WG Classic and WGR stock at our service centers. Same-day shipping upon request from our Indianapolis distribution center on rotor and bearing wear items. WX and WS lead times depend on stock; BEC can confirm.
